Does SAP have a pension plan?
- We can begin between 8am and 10am and finish between 4pm and 6pm. - Free food but the quantity is limited. - Gym onsite with classes and a funny instructor. - Two days working from home every week. However, you cannot work from home neither Fridays nor Mondays. - When you work on a Saturday or Sunday, you get 1,5days in exchange (instead of 1 day as other companies do). You get 2 days in exchange when you work a bank holiday. - The pension plan is really good in comparison with other companies. If you put 4% of your salary and the company adds a 10%. Other companies only match what you put. - You can create a development plan and get advice from HR. I have seen people moving to other departments but have also seen people trying hard and didn´t succeed. It all depends how helpful your manager is. When a person in my team tried to move to another department, his current manager said to the future manager, “we need him here. We cannot afford losing him from our team”. This person eventually left the company. - You can charge your electric car (if you have one) for free.
- Several People in the team have suffered burnouts. Since January this year SAP is not replacing people who left the team. This means than the ones staying have double of work and end up suffering burnouts. - The salaries are completely unfair. People who began years ago were offered less salary than the ones beginning nowadays. Despite all the salaries reviews done every March, some salaries are still far away from being at the same level. There are cases with €3000 of difference between the new and old people. The best is that you cannot talk about these differences with your manager because it is written in the contact that you cannot say your salary to anybody. If you try to point out this difference, they will try to force you to say the name of the person and this employee will get in trouble. - The salary increases really little. Sometimes the salary increase is €450 gross a year! - You always have to queue to go to the toilet in the main building. There are really few toilets for the number of people working there. - The main building is an eco-friendly building. This mean that sometimes is warm and sometimes is cold. I still remember when everybody was sent home during the irish heat wave last year. There were only 30ºC outside but we all felt like chicken being roasted inside an oven in the main building.
If you do not want to have such a high turn over, you better listen to your employees and react.
The pension plan is really good in comparison with other companies.
