Job Summary:
The CT Border Operations Centre (CTBOC) sits within Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (CTPHQ) and provides national leadership for UK CT Border Policing. Working through a network of Regional Senior Ports Officers (RSPOs) and Regional Ports Coordinators (RPCs), CTBOC delivers national policy, operational guidance, strategic direction and supports major capability programmes, including the development and implementation of new technologies.
As a Police Staff member in CTBOC, you will play a critical role in supporting and shaping our CT Border capabilities across the national network. You will contribute to the delivery of operational and strategic outputs that help protect the UK from terrorism and serious threats to national security. The post involves close collaboration across police forces, government departments, intelligence partners, Border Force, the Home Office and the NCA.
This is an opportunity for a motivated, adaptable and intellectually curious police staff member to work at the national level and influence policy, operational development and technological innovation across the CT Borders landscape.

The role‑holder will support the delivery of CTBOC activities, working within the key pillars of Governance, Coordination and Innovation.

Operational & Strategic Support
Provide professional support to CTBOC pillar leads across border‑related tasks and deliverables.
Contribute to the development of national policy, operational guidance and strategic products.
Assist in planning and delivering national operations and activity supporting the CT Border network.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain effective, productive relationships with internal and external partners nationwide, including Security Service, Home Office, NCA and UK Border Force.
Represent CTBOC at national and cross‑agency working groups, workshops and meetings.
Analysis, Reporting & Briefing
Produce high‑quality written products, including operational briefs, strategic reports, guidance documents and decision‑support papers.
Deliver presentations to partners, senior officers and national stakeholders to support CTBOC business.
Innovation & Capability Development
Support national programmes delivering new technologies, digital capabilities and border‑security enhancements.
