Overview:
In this role you will be expected to be able to design databases, standardise data, produce reports, quality check and use your technical knowledge to maintain and improve upon large scale information systems.

At 1 Stop Data, new processes, products and services are usually developed from the bottom-up: a client will make a request, a member of the team will propose an idea or a problem will arise. Part of the role will be to brainstorm and consult on these ideas / identify solutions to the problem, feasibility test the concept, develop the process and deliver the final outcome.

Requirements:

• Able to work as part of a team to be able to express ideas clearly to solve problems, whilst also being able to listen to suggestions of the team.
• Self-motivated and independently task-driven.
• Ability to understand challenges and seek solutions.

Desirable Criteria:

• Technical knowledge regarding database design, data models and data collection
• Strong knowledge in databases including SQL etc. with programming experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in writing queries and reports to standardise and transform data.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Google Cloud etc.
• Knowledge in statistical / reporting packages such as Excel etc.
• Good analytical skills including the ability to collect and analyse data whilst paying attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of the analysis life cycle and data protection.

Applicants must be available for four days at the end of January for a paid trial where they will work as part of a team to complete a task. Successful applicants may be offered a placement year position based on their performance in this trial.
