Pros

Private medical insurance, pension. Some opportunities if your face fits.

Cons

Silo mentality. Senior management out of touch and uninterested. Ever changing priorities, no sense of achievement. Poor communication. Badly located office with insufficient parking.

Aetna UK office = Avoid

Pros

Office building looks great from outside but nothing around there except Costco. Shuttle bus from the station but runs only 7:00 -19:00. Too far from the Farnborough station.

Cons

The management and supervisors are ignorant and rude. There is a presence of racial discrimination and the company ignores it and even the HR pretends that they don't see it . Poor IT system and office facilities. Hard to believe this is a global insurance company. Lots of employees in this office are not highly educated. Many of them have no uni/colleage degrees. Not enough parking space although the office is located in the middle of nowhere. People come and go all the time. I have seen 12 people left the department in the period of a year but the management seems they don't care at all.

virtually no process or infrastructure

Pros

Good office environment in a central location, many staff have served a long time and their experience is easily accessed and a big support.

Cons

there is absolutely no infrastructure for day to day work, junior management is poor and senior management want increased productivity with less staff when there is no system for managing the work that comes in let alone improving productivity. The culture from the top is uncaring and the service to customers haphazard.
