I have been working at Direct Line Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, great team, great atmosphere.. Sounds cheesy but it's such a friendly place to be I am genuinely happy to come to work every day.
The work is exciting - if you're ambitious enough you're encouraged to take the initiative to develop yourself and your skills.
Parts of the office have just been re-furbished so are really modern and nice, free coffee and biscuits are a nice treat too (there is also fresh fruit but that's not my priority)..
Management are really open to suggestions on improving processes or other things and I have never felt like my opinions aren't valued.

    Cons

Couple of floors are still waiting a refurb but not the end of the world.

    Pros

As a grad at DLG, there is an opportunity to be exposed to different departments, projects, and people, which is an incredible opportunity that not every company offers. Every part of the business has their own unique goals and challenges, making it a really exciting place to work.
DLG also really cares about their employees. As cheesy as that sounds, there's a constant thought around what we can do to make this a great place to work. Whether its around flexible working, or addressing mental health, DLG is aware of the different challenges employees face and aims to address these to ensure employees can achieve the right work-life balance.

    Cons

Change at times happens fairly slowly at DLG, and sometimes feels like we're a few years behind. However, this seems to be recognised by senior leaders that we are at times lagging behind and there is a gradual mindset shift to aiming to be more innovative and forward thinking.
Additionally, I think DLG's vision of culture hasn't quite translated to our customer facing roles just yet.

    Pros

DLG is brilliant at allowing individuals  to develop and prosper across all business units, using coaching, mentoring and support to allow individuals(me) to reach my full potential

Working in the GreenFlag business unit is has all the principles of a modern start close knit team but with help, support and guidance of a massive foward thinking business

The team with the GreenFlag team and the wider business who support, encourage and help

Our principles put the customer and the staff of the business at the heart of what we do and that's lived and modelled by the SLT so dead easy to follow

Expertise and knowledge within the teams is awesome and people are willing to help and support and if not we have many partners who support us to deliver our goals

    Cons

We don't tell enough people how great a place DLG really is to work

    Advice to Management

None just more of the same
