Pros
Working at Google allows you to meet very smart people and work on interesting projects/products. You will never need to explain to someone what Google is. The pay and benefits are great and the culture is probably the best among the large silicon valley companies
Cons
The expectation of the amount of work can be very high but probably in line with most companies in the valley. Your swim lane can be very narrow (which is probably similar in all companies this size) and the ability to get promoted is very difficult.
