      Pros

Great team of engineers - both good engineers and good people.

      Cons

A perceived 'us and them' culture between mangagers and engineers. A big company feel but without the size of a big company.

      Competent engineers, stingy management

25 May 2021 - Project Engineer in Shoreham-by-Sea, England, England

      Pros

Interesting projects, very knowledgeable and competent people.

      Cons

Unrealistic project deadlines and budgets, often resulting in cutting corners and a stressful workplace, everything to keep the costs down and the shareholders happy. Salary wasn't great, either.

One of the worst companies to join

12 Mar 2021 - Project Manager in London, England, England
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The only pro is they invest in the candidate when joining an example being ergonomic items especially during Covid-19 Senior Management are easy going and contact them without issue and you can have informal meetings with them to discuss any issue

      Cons

Where to start firstly workers within the company have low confidence in the system they use which is ultimately impacting employee satisfaction and morale The systems currently in place within Ricardo seems outdated Very confusing Stakeholder relationships especially abroad, whereby there is great mistrust The office is one of the worst I have seen, not upgraded at all seems like the offices are stuck in the 1980's No BAME representation within the company ranks Very Low Salary compared to the average within London If you would like to improve by ascertaining a qualification you would need to pay this yourself and there is no Personal Development Fund.
