A big thank you to our fantastic team in Lincoln who took part in the city’s Big Colour Dash! They ran an impressive 5k while covered in environmentally friendly powder paint- see their colourful picture below! As well as having fun as a team, they raised a huge £2,500 for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice. The team ran in memory of much loved Anglian Water Colleagues.

It can be daunting leaving the armed forces after many years service so this was a great networking event and one that we were proud to be attend. If you are a Company interested in connecting with a great talent pool then we would encourage you to contact the CTP to find out more.

Plastic pollution is all over the news at the moment and there are some fantastic people within our region doing great work to raise awareness. We're supporting filmmaker Eleanor Church from Colchester who is preparing for a sailing expedition in the Pacific Ocean, from Hawaii to Vancouver, to research micro-plastics and document the voyage. We recently met up with Eleanor at her studio to find out more about her trip. Do you think businesses should be doing more to tackle plastic pollution? http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQz4v
Treating water and sewage from 6million customers uses a huge amount of energy but our aim is to be carbon neutral as a business. So we are very pleased to be a part of a report released by the Aldersgate Group today on greening infrastructure. ‘Towards the new normal: increasing investment in the UK’s green infrastructure’ looks at schemes which drive sustainable investment like the green bond we issued last the year, the first of its kind in the utility sector. Read a case study on this and lots more inspiring sustainable business ideas in the report here.
We would love to introduce our new team of Community Ambassadors! They are going to be heading out and about across our region in the coming weeks and months to talk to community groups. If you are part of a WI group, Rotary Club, or any other group interested in hearing about the huge engineering challenge of providing water and sewerage for six million people then we’d love to hear from you. As well as introducing your group to what we do, our community ambassadors also want to hear your views for what our priorities should be over the coming years.
