Bromford Flagship has secured £22 million from the government’s Social Housing Fund to make homes warmer 🔥, greener 🌿, and more affordable to run. The funding will be used to install energy-saving upgrades, including air source heat pumps, solar panels, insulation, and double glazing – helping our customers cut energy bills and live more comfortably. David Armstrong, Chief Operating Officer, said: “This funding will help us future-proof thousands of homes. Investing in energy efficiency not only lowers bills but also reduces our carbon footprint. This is a major milestone in our journey towards net zero and a huge win for our customers.” Previous phases of the scheme, which Bromford and Flagship have been part of since 2022, have already helped hundreds of households. Bromford Flagship completes landmark merger to deliver more affordable homes 🏡✨ We’re delighted to announce the successful completion of the merger between Bromford Housing Group Limited and Flagship Housing Group Limited – a major milestone in our mission to create more affordable homes. With over 80,000 homes across east, central, and southwest England, this merger strengthens our ability to unlock capacity and invest in new housing, with the potential to build 2,000 homes per year for the next 30 years—half of which we aim to provide at social rent. Following extensive due diligence, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder engagement, we’re excited about the future and the opportunities this merger brings. We’ve secured land for 179 new homes- and there’s more to come. Contracts are progressing to acquire land for over 1,000 additional homes, with agreements aiming to be completed by March 2025, helping us meet the growing demand for affordable housing. We have completed the purchase of a site in Dudley, West Midlands, to deliver 50 much-needed affordable homes 🏡 This historical brownfield site will be transformed into high-quality homes for affordable rent and shared ownership, with work starting in the coming months. This latest deal means that, so far this year, we have secured land for 175 affordable homes, which is another step forward in tackling housing needs and creating opportunities for local communities to thrive.
