Last month, DLG announced four new charity partnerships. Today, we’re taking a closer look at just one of the organisations we’re proud to support. Race Equality Matters is a body dedicated to driving tangible change in workplaces across the UK. Its mission is to remove barriers and provide solutions to tackle race inequality while working to co-create impactful race equality solutions. This reflects the work of DLG’s own internal Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Heritage (or REACH) strand, which celebrates colleagues from all ethnicities and backgrounds and works to elevate, educate, and empower the DLG community. We believe that meaningful collaborations, such as this one, will enrich our ability to foster a more inclusive workplace culture. Together, we’re one of a kind.
It’s an exciting day at Direct Line Group as Adam Winslow joins as our new Chief Executive Officer. Adam’s going to be meeting as many colleagues as possible to listen to their views on how we can improve the business and deliver for our customers. He’s spending his first day in our Leeds office and will be visiting other sites and repair centres over the next few weeks. It’s great to have someone with Adam’s experience, expertise and energy at the helm and the whole team is looking forward to giving him a warm welcome.

This week we announced our Half Year Results and here are the highlights! Gender goes beyond what we look like or how we behave. It’s a deep internal sense of who you are and how you express that externally doesn’t always match with the sex you were born with. For those who identify as neither male nor female, assumptions made around their gender identity are not always correct, and misgendering (using incorrect pronouns while talking or referring to another) can be hurtful and alienating.
