It can be nerve-wracking for parents when children start their first #job. Marie tells us about her experience when her daughter, Harriet, started an #Apprenticeship with EDF: “We visited the accommodation, we could see all the facilities, so there was nothing to worry about. There’s mentoring and well-being support, everything is very safe!” Watch Marie's video to find out more about the support we offer during our training schemes. Our 2022 Apprenticeship are open until 11th March.
Check your risk of prostate cancer using the #ProstateCancerUK 30 second risk checker - that really is all it takes! We're supporting PCUK's and NHS England's campaign to find the missing 14,000 men who haven't yet been diagnosed, delaying life-saving treatment. Since the start of the pandemic our charity partner, PCUK, has seen this huge drop in referrals from GP's, based on pre-pandemic data. You can check the risk for yourself or for someone else:

We’re celebrating Hunterston B nuclear power station, which stops generating today after 46 years of generation ⚡ The station is one of the UK’s most productive nuclear stations and has produced almost 300TWh of zerocarbon electricity since 1976, that's the equivalent of taking all of Scotland's cars off the road for 19 years! Employees will soon start defueling the station, a job that will take around 3 years.
To mark one of the busiest times of year for visiting a city centre, we've created a Christmas tree-V installation to demonstrate air pollution levels in Glasgow city centre. The decorated tree will feature lights that will turn green when pollution is low and white when air pollution levels are high, encouraging visitors to choose to travel to the city centre in more low carbon ways. This is a collaborative project with our R&D team who have created the lighting software. How will the lights be powered? By an EV! Specifically, a Hyundai IONIQ 5 model. #Glasgow #Christmas #ElectricVehicle #Innovation
