All mums are amazing! With Mother’s Day just around the corner we filmed four women who revealed what it means to them to be a mum… and then gave them a BIG surprise #MothersDay http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQjKJ
Randy Shoup a well-known VP of engineering stopped by our Southwark office on Friday, to talk about his experiences leading the journey from a monolithic code base to microservices - it's a super relevant topic in tech at the moment, one that most companies go through.
Every one of us remembers that one particular manager. The one we looked up to, who had a lasting impact on our careers, who inspired and challenged us and created an environment where we could be our best. At Photobox Group we want to empower all our people managers to be THAT Manager, which is why we’re launching our latest Learning & Development initiative called… you guessed it - ‘Be That Manager’. The programme is engaging over 150 managers within the Group, giving them the inspiration and tools to help them and the talent they manage, grow and flourish. To learn more about our new initiative, read this blog post from Lawrence Hay, our Group Head of Talent and Organisational Development.

This Valentine's Day we threw a lifeline to men in Britain's least romantic city by offering a same-day delivery service on 14th February. The prospect of a ruined Valentine’s in the town really pulled at our heart strings, and that's why we decided to trial same-day delivery there. Hopefully we’ve sent hearts racing for a few customers who have dropped the ball this Valentine’s Day. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ703

We actively encourage our employees to take part in community events and we are so pleased to share that our own Darren Beukes from Photobox joint the Moonpig team that won this year’s The Hacker Games. Congratulation to Jasper Law, James Spencer, Darren Beukes, Tom Pallister and Alex Kruzewski. They created a fantastic virtual reality experience drawing on Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing, which is a new treatment for PTSD. It can be successfully used to treat single trauma events, and the judges especially liked that it could be used by soldiers in the field as it doesn’t require internet access. The event was organised in support of Help for Heroes and raised £11,000.
