We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Home Care Agency, for a Weekend Scheduler role. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, proactive individual to support the smooth delivery of care services over the weekend.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing care schedules, coordinating Care Professionals, responding to client and employee enquiries, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the weekend. Working remotely, you will be the first point of contact for operational issues and will liaise closely with the office team to resolve any scheduling challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and updating care schedules throughout the weekend.
- Responding to telephone calls, messages, and emails from clients, Care Professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinating last-minute cover for sickness, absence, or changes to care visits.
- Ensuring all scheduled care visits are covered and delivered safely.
- Working closely with the Scheduling Team to maintain service continuity.
- Communicating effectively with Care Professionals regarding rota changes and updates.
- Problem-solving and finding practical solutions to staffing and scheduling challenges.
- Escalating urgent or complex issues to the management team where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate records of all actions, communications, and schedule changes.
Key Requirements
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make informed decisions quickly.
- Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to work independently.
- Previous scheduling, rostering, coordination, or care sector experience is desirable but not essential.
- Competent IT skills and the ability to use scheduling systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- A reliable internet connection and a suitable home-working environment.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding service to clients and Care Professionals.
