      Contract workers beware!

      Pros

      Pipeline only - I there are no other pros.

      Cons

      Even with the implementation of DAI, decision making is still convoluted, frustrating and cumbersome. Amgen has a high percentage of contractors to perm ratio and while contractors are employed for their knowledge and experience, once in contractors are treated as second class citizens. Contractors are not valued, not included and more over there is a distinct atmosphere that contractors are not to be trusted with the minority perm employees watching their every move. Not a pleasant place to work as a contractor at all.

      Pipeline and projects are amazing Great cantine

      Cons

      All the decisions are made by the US office , no career progression in Europe , no recognition for hard work , pressure and unrealistic timelines make the work environment very toxic Senior management are never in the office , people work from home all the time making offices empty... The junior staff are bullied and fired and the senior staff are contained to lower positions which is very frustrating

      Nice location, offices, and excellent training.

      Cons

      Obsessively micro managing staff to the point of stalking on Lync - really need to get over this! Some CWs are not allowed to work from home whilst most the office does. Left alone for long periods of time with no communication from managers even a "hello". Some managers in Compliance are very disrespectful/belittle bordering on harassment. Sit in their offices with the door shut all day and don't communicate with their staff. Avoid
