Pros

The people on the ground are lovely.

Cons

The executive of this firm have no feeling. They somehow micromanage while not holding anyone to account. The spirit of the business is being crushed by an arrogant executive committee who think they know better. It is telling that all of the successful managing directors of the business units left in the space of 18 months and took with them what made he business special and successful. Pay is poor. Office conditions are ridiculous The business says its purpose led which is a lie. Morale is gone.

Dear Employee, Thank you for leaving your feedback. We truly appreciate your acknowledgment of the dedication and hard work of our people. It is heartening to know that their efforts are recognised and valued. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the executive management and the overall morale within the company. It is disheartening to learn that you feel the spirit of the business is being compromised and that past successful managing directors' departures have impacted the company significantly. Your feedback about micromanagement, accountability, and office conditions is taken very seriously. Regarding your comments on compensation and office conditions, we understand that these are critical aspects of your work experience. We value and champion the expertise of our people and are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation for our teams, based on industry benchmarking and annual salary reviews. Moreover, we have recently invested significantly in the revamp of our offices worldwide and will continue to do so. Your perception about our purpose-led mission is particularly concerning. Our commitment to our mission is genuine. Because we appreciate that actions speak louder than words, we feel humbled that our purpose guides and is reflected in the actions of all our people every day in the expert support they provide to clients. We continuously share progress on our mission with the business and take steps to ensure that our purpose is reflected in our everyday operations and decision-making processes. Your advice to the management and the board is noted. Listening to employee feedback and engagement results is crucial for the growth and success of any organisation. We are committed to thoroughly reviewing the feedback we receive and making necessary changes. Once again, thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Senior leadership started their career as consultants with Ricardo, and have remained ever since. While they are knowledgeable about consultancy, they lack expertise in business strategy, people management, leadership skills, operational efficiency, creating a healthy workplace, capacity support and development, and objectives design. Basically everything necessary to run a business. They cling on firmly to their positions, ruling their own kingdom. The young employees enjoy it as their first experience, surrounded by motivated newcomers, but the more experienced professionals who mistakenly join the group eventually leave as soon as they can. The culture is so toxic and their HR so poor, their HR respond to every single review on Glassdoor to try to mitigate the impact of negative reviews. Instead, maybe the leadership wants to invest in a proper leadership team, including HR. This company is a serious scam.

Cons

No career development possible beyond senior or principal consultant, poor benefits all considering, unhealthy work life balance, hire people to test market and get rid of them as soon as they realise they made a 'judgement mistake' and is not
