Things took a massive dip in 2023; firstly with the redundancies and the bizarre need to hire extensively immediately after, and then the company's completely political stance post October 7th, where they not only fired one of my colleagues for airing her political views, but allowed people in the TLV office to air racist and political views in slack groups and asked for donations to the IDF. There's also an Israeli flag with the message 'Standing together' when logging into an internal system, which is inaccurate as much as political. Wix completely overstepped the mark when all this happened, a workplace should never become a place where politics are promoted, especially in a global company. Outside of this, the last year and half has seen a steady decline in atmosphere in the DUB office. Everything said previously combined with salary freezes, lack of investment in product due to saving plans and a steady increase in workload led to increased feelings of being jaded as well as increased attrition. The team lead role gives good variety at Wix, and there was good opportunities for growth during my early time here. The role gets a bit blurred at times though to compensate with Wix's lack of investment in other departments. There's far too much onus on recruitment and L+D assistance. The L+D department is a great failure in this company, all they do is schedule everyone else to assist. KPIs and responsibilities became too much for management and the bundles in my view. While Wix are correct to focus on quality, something they possibly needed a bit more of in the past, some of the numbers and aims were unrealistic. In the Services bundle alone, there were consistently issues with things like Branded App and Hotels, yet experts were still expected to somehow get 90% CSAT in these interactions. This was completely unfair and was further evidence of Wix refusing to look at some of their own products. This was compounded by experts and TLs having to analyze whether an expert has left a user on hold for three minutes instead of two. The salaries at Wix are also below what rival companies pay, creating further fatigue and lack of motivation for staff. Overall, a mixed bag. Some good things to say about the early days, unfortunately undone by the last two years.
