Pros

1. The people at Wix are truly top-notch — around 95% of the colleagues you'll work with are smart, talented, and genuinely kind. 2. Some internal mobility exists, allowing employees to explore different roles within the company. 3. Work-life balance is well maintained, and expectations are generally reasonable. 4. The perks are solid and thoughtful. 5. Wix has some of the best offices and facilities in Israel — beautifully designed and well-equipped.

Cons

1. Despite promoting a "No Jerks" policy, certain individuals — including some managers — are allowed to act unprofessionally without facing any real consequences. This behavior is often accepted, or worse, normalized. 2. Office politics are extremely heavy. Getting support for cross-team work often feels more like diplomacy than collaboration, consuming far too much time and energy. 3. Things move slowly. Tasks that would take hours in most companies can easily stretch into days or weeks. 4. There are managers who lack experience and leadership skills, which can cause serious damage to team morale and productivity. 5. There's significant resistance to adopting modern technologies — often rooted in personal job security fears rather than strategic thinking. 6. Salaries are generally below industry standards, especially for roles in R&D.

Pros

Great campus and talented people, with all of the amazing facilities. Great work-life balance! Lots of room for learning and development.

Cons

There are two Wix organizational cultures: one that is toxic in the Marketing department and one that is amazing for the rest. Unfortunately, no salary increase is based on merit, only on manager relationships, resulting in salaries lower than the industry standard. HR is not doing anything about bad managers. Don't complain about anything else, or you will be fired, or you won't get a promotion.

Pros

Great Facilities, gym, shops, basketball court, great food, great work life balance - even with the 5 days from work, you can leave early and if something come up you can work from home. There is opportunities for changing teams or becoming managers.

Cons

Managers that don't have a lot of experience in management or in the field, there is micro management and a lot of politics. big compony with lots of people involved in every change making it hard to introduce big changes and advance with the technology outside. A lot of build in tools that could have better solutions. The compony separations doesn't apply to infrastructure teams.

On average it's good

Pros

1) Work life balance is good 2) Total compensation can be good 3) There are some very cool people 4) A lot of transparency regarding business direction/state.

Cons

1) All of the above is location dependent. Vilnius office is m_u_c_h better than a random Israel one. 2) Like everywhere - a random manager up the chain can make you life a lot worse than that of your buddy next door. 3) You will be forced to do things wix way. Some times for a good reason. Some times because there is a very large ego somewhere up above. In my experience most of business decisions are metrics based and most of "architecture" decisions are not.
