"No two days are ever the same, which is exactly what I love about it. I usually start early with a review of overnight performance, then spend the day aligning with crewing, ground ops, and customer service to keep everything running smoothly. It’s a blend of strategic planning and real-time problem-solving." Describe your job in aviation lingo: "Flight Director in Mission Control - constantly monitoring the radar, adjusting the flight plan in real time, and ensuring every system is go for departure." Cabin or cockpit if you weren’t in ops? "Cabin, 100%. It’s fast-paced, people-first, and full of little moments that make a big impact." Advice for aspiring ops professionals? "Be curious, stay calm under pressure, and appreciate the value of teamwork. Learn how every piece of the journey connects."

To mark the occasion, our engineers are enjoying a well-earned donut buffet 🍩 as we wrap up the 2024/25 heavy maintenance season. A special shoutout from Rob, our Base Maintenance Manager: 💬 “I would personally like to acknowledge and celebrate Aviation Maintenance Technician Day by passing on my gratitude to all staff within Hangar 61. As we complete our heavy maintenance programme and return every TUI aircraft to the skies, I continue to be amazed by the passion, flexibility and drive of this team. Your ability to adapt and consistently deliver safe and reliable aircraft is what makes Hangar 61 so special. That’s why our Global DEI & Wellbeing Manager, Emily, has led the development of a brand new Mental Health Awareness Toolkit— created for everyone at TUI. This toolkit includes: ✔️ Practical resources to support your own mental wellbeing ✔️ Guidance on how to spot the signs of stress or struggle in yourself and others ✔️ Tips on how to start supportive conversations ✔️ Tools to help foster a more open and caring culture across our teams Because understanding mental health — and knowing how to talk about it — is key to supporting ourselves and each other, today and every day. From repping in 2006 to leading change today 🙌 Anna's journey with TUI shows just how far flexibility and a love for travel can take you. After starting out as a Rep, she left and later boomeranged back as a Travel Advisor before working her way up to Retail Store Manager and then stepped into her current role as a Change Control Executive - all while based in Scotland. Thanks to TUI’s approach that work is something you do, not somewhere you go, Anna was empowered to make the leap into head office, without the need to relocate. 💬 “I never thought I’d be able to move into a head office role from Scotland, but the flexibility at TUI made it possible.
