Talk about whiplash! The past year was full of ups and downs, course corrections and surprisingly soft landings. Unemployment Talk about whiplash! The past year was full of ups and downs, course corrections and surprisingly soft landings. Unemployment remained low, but folks out of the workforce found it hard to get back in. AI simplified tasks, but workers remained anxious about becoming obsolete.

The most innovative companies didn't just adapt to the changing landscape – they led through it. They each landed a spot at a top workplace based on a strong employee culture, quality leadership, and a commitment to work-life balance that goes beyond trendy policies. In a year of challenges, these companies stood out by truly listening, supporting, and valuing their most important asset: their employees.

The Glassdoor Best Places to Work 2025 list reveals where employees love their jobs - and semiconductor and software design company Arm claims the top spot for the first time! Employees praised the company for its strong culture, amazing working community, compensation, and interesting projects.

Based entirely on the reviews of employees, the 50 companies recognised on the Best Places to Work 2025 list have surpassed worker expectations and beaten hundreds of thousands of other employers to claim their place.

Tech companies dominate the winners with 11 employers from the sector recognised, four of which are in the Top 10.

28 of the companies are newcomers to the list and 25 are headquartered in the UK. Many companies made our '25 list in part due to flexible work environments, a focus on better pay, improved benefits packages, and excellent work-life balance.

In addition to recognising the 50 companies in the UK, Glassdoor also compiled Best Places to Work lists for the U.S. and US Small & Medium Companies (fewer than 1,000 employees).

In 2025, only seven employers appeared on both country lists (US and UK): Microsoft, Schneider Electric, Salesforce, Procter & Gamble, Gartner, Boston Consulting Group, and GSK.

"The Best Places to Work award is more than just recognition—it’s a trusted guide for job seekers striving to find not only a great workplace but also a better worklife," said Christian Sutherland-Wong, Chief Executive Officer at Glassdoor. "By showcasing companies where employees truly thrive, this award empowers professionals to choose employers that align with their values and priorities. It also highlights the critical role of transparency and feedback in shaping a future where work supports a fulfilling life."
