Based in London we are keen to take on a dynamic Storage centric individual taking on responsibility for leading and managing storage infrastructure management projects and initiatives. Supporting, maintaining and continually improve SAN/NAS and virtualisation infrastructure in a rapidly growing, geographically distributed environment. Ensuring the design and implementation of new/incremental infrastructure adheres to high availability and security standards.

The successful candidate will need to have an extensive record in the design, implementation and administration of SAN/NAS with focus on NetApp, EMC CLARIION, Centera, Celerra, VNX, AX4, Symmetrix DMX3, DMX4, VMAX, Data Domain, IBM V7000, DS 8000, HP EVA 4000 & 8000 Series, IBM XIV Gen 2 / 4, NetApp IBM SVC, analystics, performance tuning and similar storage appliances.

A background in high value IT operations with expert knowledge in SAN/NAS multi-tier D2D and D2D2T design, build and administration with focus on Symantec NetBackup and Dell ML6000 Power Vault, and similar archive appliances.

Knowledge in virtualization design Hyper-V, VMWare, Linux / Red Hat or CentOS Operating Systems, and script writing a plus.

Responsibilities

Research and identify the most appropriate options for the delivery infrastructure.

Design the architecture of the required infrastructure solution

Manage the deployment, maintenance and upgrade paths of the infrastructure

Identify, deploy and maintain appropriate connectivity options

Maintain and test Business Continuity plans and systems

Contribute to the overall quality of service delivered to internal users and clients.

Excellent knowledge and proven expertise of:

Cisco networking equipment including reference architectures for datacentre, branch and campus (CCNP, CCDP desirable);

VMware ESXi 5 design, installation and management including SRM;

Designing and deploying highly available solutions

Deploying and managing iSCSI or/and FC SAN solution

Designing and managing Active Directory

Automation using MS PowerShell and Linux Shell Scripting
