Interview
Unfortunately, I have to share a very mixed impression of my interviews with Puma. I had applied for a position in Customer Service and found the application process up to the interview to be very smooth and pleasant. The interviews were arranged quickly and my questions were answered quickly as well.
The hiring manager was also very nice and I could have easily imagined working with her. However, what I found absolutely questionable was the behavior of the HR person during the interview. She was incredibly unfriendly and rude. Every answer I gave her was turned around and interpreted differently. When I tried to explain myself, she cut me off and wouldn't let me continue. I've dealt with quite a few HR people in my life and not all of them were professional. But I have never experienced such a bad candidate experience from a supposed HR professional who is also a Director and therefore probably a manager. If she is supposed to represent the Puma values spoken of on the careers page, she has definitely failed. That's why I'm perhaps quite glad I didn't get the job, as nice as the hiring manager was.
