Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate kitchen assistant to join our team, assisting with preparations of food & hygiene of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year background in food preparation and culinary techniques, with a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook/Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests enjoy delicious and safe meals while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in meal preparation and ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
• Keeping all kitchen areas clean, ensuring work surfaces, all kitchen utensils, customer dishes and cutlery are cleaned/ washed and put away at end of shift.

Skills

• Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or dietary requirements as needed.
