The Role:
We’re looking for a QA Test Engineer who’s passionate about building reliable, high-quality software and helping teams ship with confidence. As part of a growing SaaS startup, you’ll take ownership of our testing strategy—making sure every feature we release works beautifully across all environments.
You’ll collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers from idea to release, ensuring testing is baked into every stage of the development process. Your work will directly shape how we scale our product and deliver the exceptional experience our users expect.
What you’ll do:
Develop and execute robust test cases, validate complex financial calculations, perform end-to-end data integrity checks, and manage both manual and automated test suites across the web application in multiple browsers.
Work alongside product and engineering teams to define testing requirements early in the development cycle.
Identify, document, and track bugs—helping teams prioritise and resolve issues fast.
Set up and maintain test environments, data, and automation frameworks.
Advocate for testing best practices and help evolve our quality assurance processes as the company grows.
Contribute to release management—verifying fixes and ensuring each build meets our quality standards.
Analyse test results and provide clear reporting and documentation to support decision-making.
About You:
3+ years of QA/test engineering experience in SaaS or startup environments.
Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and SDLC processes.
Fast learner who is able to pick up domain knowledge relatively quick.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data (especially numbers since the platform is finance focussed).
Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar).
Solid knowledge of API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and version control systems (Git).
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail.
Comfortable diving into ambiguous problems, experimenting, and learning quickly.
Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced teams.
Experience with continuous integration tools is a plus.
Experience of working with various AI models and testing for suitable responses is a an important part of the role too.
Bonus: Familiarity with performance and accessibility testing tools.
Bonus: Some experience of Business Analysis on digital products
Bonus: Familiarity with GraphQL
