I worked at British Gas full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Forward looking company, with lots of challenges. All projects are different and very rewarding. Perks are also very good. The company are not afraid of change, and made a swift transition to work more 'Agile'.

    Cons

Communiction could be better throughout, to help with further efficiency and smoother running of projects.

I have been working at British Gas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The business is going through a period of change which is difficult for many people. In the past the company was a monopoly and money was no object. Obviously now things need to change and they are. This is for the long term benefit of the company.
Salary is good, good DC pension, 6 months full sick pay and 6 months half pay, death in service the works

    Cons

A workforce highly resistant to change. The defined benefit scheme is proposed to change, BUT, the proposals mean it is kept open to new engineers. It is still an amazing scheme yet many feel it is somehow a bad deal. Trust me you should try working elsewhere

    Advice to Management

Empower your leaders to lead. The growth strategy is robust but empower people to deliver on their own way.
