I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Gdańsk) in May 2020
Interview
The talent sourcer found me, then I applied for a position. On the prescreening phone call with sourcer she asked me couple of standard questions: salary, my wish new job start date, my career path etc. I was told that the next step will be phone screening, then coding interview(she said it will not be an offline task which I find very rude & a waste of candidate's time) & they will let me know about a week before. Next day I received a call from a nice HR girl & she said that the manager would like to meet me that day & I was really confused - I've got a regular job , Friday was my sprint's end & I found it was desperate. Phone screening was on MS Teams platform which didn't work with my headphone set on Ubuntu so my interviewer called my mobile phone. He was nice, told about a company, project & technologies. I expected theoretical javascript/AWS/python questions & an easy coding task which is standard for such an interview. Nonetheless he ask me some React questions, one about http protocol & that was it. I was told that the next step will be offline task, so I was fooled by talent sourcer. I would not apply if I knew it. After a couple of days I received a brief feedback that I'm too junior for that position.
