This is a sedentary job; i gained 20 pounds. The food that is given out for free; pizza parties, unhealthy food. IT's hard to like get a salad in that place unless you go to the cafeteria and its 6 bucks. Just the fact that the job is so sedentary is what really got to me. You're collecting on student loans; private ones at that and you feel like a terrible person. Some of these loans people took out at 18 and clearly had no idea what they were doing and you feel heavy about it.

Upper management is terrible. They will take your ideas as their own when it benefits them. They will also throw your name out there to deflect attention from them. You are expected to cover all hours, sometimes into the early hours of the morning. There were days I started at 5AM and went home at midnight only to be expected back in the office at five the next morning. Shady business practices and manipulating compliance audits are the norm. You are disposable. “It’s only business”.

Upper management tosses you onto new contracts with only a day of training and expects it done perfectly. Stressful calls.

Upper management was rude to people

Large corporate structure. Executives and upper management disconnected from what is happening in the trenches. Bulky and cumbersome tech stack.

Some of the hours for certain projects and being in a different timezone when working remote projects

You're working as a call center rep for student loans. You'll spend all day getting yelled at and upper management just sees you as a warm body in a seat. 0/10 would recommend working here

Very much a popularity contest on promoting, of you go out to lunch with the bosses regularly you're on the right track, if you work through your lunches you'll never be noticed for it. Much of management is out the door the second it turna 5pm but the devoted management that stays longer is never noticed for it. Very lazy, discouraging and disappointing upper management.
