Pros

* The people you'll work with in the office * There is a decent social aspect outside of work * You'll get the joy of leaving and finding a better job (probably very soon)

Cons

* Competitors will pay more and have their act together unlike this shambles of a company * This comapny brought me in under the impression I would be a software engineer, in my year there I wrote about 100-200 lines of code (at a push), the rest of the time I dealt with various people issues and travelled up and down the country * 4 people left within a few weeks of me joining due to project issues, this issue continued with new projects for other people. If projects are revealing the same issues, maybe those issues need addressing... * You'll be taking stress back home with you every evening * You'll be fooled into travelling, even if you're told you won't be * Whatever you think a reasonable wage would be, add at least another £25k onto it to make it worthwhile (for time spent away from home, and for not doing the work you will sign on for) * You'll be manipulated into doing nothing and told it's okay. They'll do this for as long as you're making money * HR will turn a blind eye to your complaints and issues because you're making money for the business * Half of our team had to leave in order to get HR to address any complaints * The business has no drive or interest in new technology, there will be no oppurtunity to work on interesting and new technologies * The only training available to you will be online videos or blanket training courses which aren't all that applicable to your role * Has not adopted modern technology and seems to think phones are a good way of conducting remote work meetings - even though you'll hear nothing but russling through the hole call and not make out what anyone ever said * Rules do not translate well to the UK, most notably, very funny about alcohol being included on any receipts for expenses * Claiming expenses will take an eternity, and you'll almost certainly pay out of pocket to pay off any kind of credit cards, your expense will then be returned to you for a minor mistake, and then you'll rinse and repeat about 3 times * The full time hours in the contract may say 40 per week, but you'll go significantly over, especially when you're travelling * There was no clear route for progression

Pros

There are several interesting projects to work on, and you get the chance to have a say in which area you work in There's chance to increase your skills in a variety of areas There's good people there who you can learn a lot from

Cons

No loyalty - if you don't get through the filter process, a clause in your contract allows them to let you go - several people suddenly disappeared while I was there No business creativity/diversification from the top - solely focused on a "More bodies sent to their sole customer equals more money" formula Laughable 1% annual pay rises - a very few get one or two more percentage points - you need to be a *very* squeaky wheel (ie. threaten to leave) to get anything decent

Worst Company Ever - UK Office

Pros

None, it doesn't even look good on the CV as it's an American company which no-one has heard of

Cons

Favouritism, inequality, discrimination...the list is endless. If you don't sit in the right cost centre - you will never get recognised/ awarded/ praised. If you do - you will be thrown unlimited pay increases and bonuses! Company ethics are poor, employees are demotivated and demoralised, no community or team spirit. Senior management believe they are above everyone else. The UK CEO will not even say hello if in the office (which is rare anyway). You will be ignored until something is required from you - at which point you are summoned and will be spoken down to.
