About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer – Wastewater to support the technical delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects. With a diverse portfolio of projects across Ireland, the UK, and international markets, this role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of challenging and impactful projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of Feasibility, Route and Site Selections and Concept Design Reports.
Preparation of Detailed Designs including detailed design drawings, calculations, and reports.
Preparing Technical Specifications and Contract Documents for main works and investigation contracts.
Undertaking Tender Evaluation and Procurement processes.
Preparation of all documentation required for statutory approvals such as planning permissions and acquiring of land acquisition & wayleaves.
Construction stage contract administration.
Developing detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
Contributing to Wastewater engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered within budget and on schedule.
Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
Performing site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
Preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
Monitoring and controlling project costs, including tracking expenses and managing change orders.
Identifying and mitigating project risks and implementing effective risk management strategies.
Fostering effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
Undertake additional duties as required to support project delivery and reflect the evolving needs of the business.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in wastewater engineering, including feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement, and construction contract administration for wastewater infrastructure projects.
Strong technical knowledge of wastewater engineering principles, standards, regulations, and industry best practice.
Proficiency in the design of wastewater infrastructure and the use of relevant analysis and design software.
Proven experience delivering wastewater engineering projects of varying scales and complexity.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet project milestones.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
