Lead Delivery Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Delivery Manager who can operate confidently at an organisational level, build credibility with senior stakeholders and lead complex initiatives that deliver real impact. You’ll work closely with clinical and executive leaders to shape direction, align priorities and ensure delivery is effective, understood and championed across the organisation. Success in this role depends as much on your ability to influence, engage and build trust as it does on your delivery expertise.
You’ll play a key role in building capability, improving systems and coaching teams to deliver exceptional outcomes setting the standard for rapid experimentation, evidence-based roadmaps and safe, frequent releases. With a strong ownership mindset, you’ll lead through influence, clarity and evidence, breaking down silos and keeping patients at the centre of every decision.

This primarily home-based role requires occasional travel to London for meetings and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex, multi-stream technology and digital initiatives, often spanning teams and disciplines
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders (including Clinical Directors and CMO level), acting as a credible and confident partner
- Shape and introduce delivery approaches that are pragmatic, proportionate and tailored to the organisation’s needs
- Create clarity in ambiguous environments, aligning stakeholders around priorities, plans and outcomes
- Actively engage stakeholders throughout delivery, ensuring they understand the approach, remain aligned and are brought on the journey
- Communicate delivery plans and proposals in a clear, engaging and persuasive way, adapting style to suit different audiences
- Navigate challenge and resistance constructively, using influence to drive alignment and progress
- Coach and support teams to continuously improve delivery capability and ways of working
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience delivering complex programmes or initiatives across multiple teams or workstreams
- Strong background in technology or digital delivery, with a solid understanding of modern delivery practices (Agile, hybrid approaches)
- Demonstrable experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders in complex organisational environments
- Ability to build trust and credibility quickly, and maintain effective relationships at all levels
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and bring stakeholders into your thinking
- Experience translating delivery concepts into clear, accessible narratives that drive engagement and alignment
- Strong judgement in applying delivery approaches in a pragmatic, outcome-focused way
Desirable requirements:
Experience working in healthcare, clinical or similarly complex stakeholder environments- Experience introducing or evolving delivery practices at team or organisational level
- Experience coaching or mentoring delivery professionals
- Familiarity with scaling delivery across multiple teams or functions
Remuneration and Benefits
- £85,000 - £90,000 annual salary
- 25 days paid holiday (increasing with service to 28 days) plus bank holidays.
